On July 7th, Mr. Roland Honekamp, Head of Political Section of the Delegation of the European Union to Japan, visited Seiji Ohsaka, Chairperson of the Policy Research Council of the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan.

Chairperson Ohsaka first recalled his visit to the EU Headquarters last summer, where he had a series of high-level talks and inspections focused on the EU's budget and agricultural policies.

Mr. Honekamp and Ohsaka then discussed issues covering the UK's departure from the EU, the proposal on the EU's new independent financial resources including digital taxation, and future diplomatic relations including impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
